I suppose the world you know little about is two-fold in this case? haha (MEN. I tell ya.)
A subscriber wrote to me after reading this post and his comments ring true. I'll quote part of what he shared: "It also reminded me of many of the situations my naivete and youth led me into when I was a kid, and how lucky I feel now to have emerged from them intact. In those days I believed, as sometimes I still do, that innocence was its own protection; I was so clueless that the guys (and sometimes women) who tried to take advantage of me were disarmed and nothing bad happened."
I loved every bit of this -- i was on TENTERHOOKS (I WAS!) waiting for Producer Man to make his slimy move, and I was bitterly disappointed in Bill Maher's shitty behavior when off-camera, but mostly I could not get enough of the story, and was so DEEPLY relieved that she (your!) came home unscathed (also loved the PS about John). A truly wonderful read!
Thank you! It was quite a crazy sequence of events. Had to write it all down before I forgot some details. Did so years ago. I just found and tweaked that old draft and decided, what the heck, Iโll post it.
Four parts of fabulousness! This is such an entertaining, thought-provoking slice of life, a peek into a daunting, goofy world I would not have access to otherwise. Amazing story!
Oh my - it was so relatable to me, that I cringed for you, Johanna!

Ah the cringe factor. Wish it wasnโt a common experience but so it goes. Thanks for reading and commenting, Connie.
Fun to read about this adventure! You took me into a world I know little about - and made me laugh:)

A crazy story. All true. A real "adventure." Thanks for the feedback, Ellen. So appreciated. ๐
