Thank you so much! I definitely try to do that, so I appreciate the feedback. Though I also have to give a big shout-out to the professor of that class, Matt Epstein, who did EXACTLY that. It's why I fell in love with the class, no doubt. 😊

I loved learning this stuff! So much to know about our brains and how they funcion. Makes sense that Tibetan monks know how to direct their thought and their brain's energy. So avanced. I will think about gamma waves in my next (brief) morning medition:)

Dr. Joe Dispenza is interesting. You might look him up if you're interested in meditation and gamma waves. He scientifically monitors brains during meditation and has theories about how gamma are, or can be, activated. Mind you, not all meditators experience gamma, as those waves are normally occasional bursts of profound experiences for most people. Experienced meditators do though. The more practice, the better the likelihood. Either way, meditation is good for the heart, the spirit, and the body.

BTW. Something I just learned is that the brain lights up with gamma wave activity after the heart stops. That is, after a person is declared dead. This connects with the amazing stories from people about their Near Death Experiences (NDEs), as well as the descriptions and studies I referenced here regarding gamma waves and how they relate to higher consciousness, "unconditional loving-kindness and compassion," "olympian" meditators, etc. It makes beautiful sense.
